The jury of the Road to Harvard competition selected 17 winners who will compete in the finals for the grand prize - a weekly trip to Harvard University. All finalists will be covered by the mentoring program aimed to help them get accepted into the prestigious American university.
The jury of the competition intended to select top 15 out of 30 candidates, but chose to reward 17. All will be covered by mentoring program that will give them access to the knowledge and experience of nearly 300 Polish graduates and researchers at Harvard University.
"Selecting 15 winners from thirty extremely talented candidates is a difficult task. Each finalist represents a very high level. We are looking for the brightest young people, with the energy to act, curious about the world. At this stage, we choose the best of the best" - said Krzysztof Daniewski, president of the Harvard Club of Poland.
The next stage of the competition will be final gala on June 13. The jury will announce four grand prize winners. Accompanied by members of the club, in late September and October they will go for a one week visit to Harvard University in Boston. Victory will give them an opportunity to meet students and professors, participate in lectures, and learn the details of the recruitment process.
"Please note that the title of winner of our competition does not guarantee being accepted into Harvard University. The competition is an action intended to motivate young Poles to study at the world\'s best universities and receive education at the highest level" - said president of the Harvard Club of Poland.
