
Kozminski University and Warsaw School of Economics are the two Polish universities included in the Financial Times ranking of the world\'s best Master of Management. Best in the ranking is the course offered by the Swiss University of St. Gallen.
The Financial Times ranking compares the best 70 Masters programs worldwide. The latest edition of the ranking was published on September 15. In 70 academic programs included in the ranking, 64 are offered by universities in Europe.
Among the best were: Kozminski University and Warsaw School of Economics. Kozminski University took 35th place in the ranking; it fell by 10 positions compared to last year. In turn, management course offered by the School of Economics in Warsaw ranked 68th has advanced one position compared to last year. In addition, in the fifth place in the ranking is CEMS - an association of economic schools of and international companies from around the world. The only Polish member of this association is Warsaw School of Economics, which offers the course CEMS Master in International Management.
"Several years of the Kozminski University presence in the Financial Times rankings translates directly into our international standing. Renowned universities offer us cooperation including exchange of academic staff, students, joint research and joint educational programs" - said the Kozminski University rector Prof. Witold Bielecki.
Winner of this year\'s Financial Times Masters in Management ranking was, as in 2013, the Swiss University of St. Gallen. HEC Paris moved up to second place from third, and Essec Business School was third (up by five places). In addition to the universities of Europe, the ranking also included colleges in Canada, India, China and Australia.
The results of the three areas of study determine the place in the Financial Times Global Masters in Management ranking. First, the survey conducted among the course graduates, in which they respond to questions about their careers, earnings and rate of advancement in the corporate hierarchy. The second area is the college diversity in terms of, inter alia, the percentage of female academic staff, foreigners in the college advisory board. This part of the ranking also evaluates the percentage of foreigners among the faculty and students of the university. The third area takes into account, inter alia, participation in international programs and language courses.
