Catholic University of Lublin inaugurates program of study for Poles abroad

Over 300 people from 11 countries have registered to join the program of study for Poles abroad, which was inaugurated last week at the Catholic University of Lublin.

The head of Educational and Cultural Project of the Catholic University of Lublin for Polonia and Poles Abroad, Dr. Wojciech Wciszeł says that 333 people from 11 countries will start their studies in six courses. The most popular courses include New Media and Communication as well as Theology and New Evangelization.

In the academic year 2022/2023, the Catholic University of Lublin Study for Polonia and Poles Abroad launched six courses that improve professional competencies: New Media and Communication, Promotion of Polish Culture, Care of Chronically Ill and Palliative Patients; Theology and New Evangelization, Counseling and Support Strategies and Prevention of Risky Behavior. More courses are in the pipeline, recruitment for them will begin later this year.

University spokesman Robert Szwed said that all classes offered are free for and will be taught by university professors, lecturers and experts. The hybrid courses will last six months. Graduates will receive the Catholic University of Lublin diplomas and certificates of graduation in Polish and English. Those willing will be able to continue their education.

The educational offer was created in cooperation with Polish Catholic Missions, Polish Embassies, Consulates of the Republic of Poland, Polish diaspora institutions and organizations. (PAP)
