Polish scientists awarded for cooperation with China

Researchers from the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery PAS in Gdańsk received the Dragon-STAR Innovation Award, awarded by the European Commission for cooperation and joint achievements of the European Union countries and the People\'s Republic of China.

The award ceremony was one of the highlights of the China-EU Science & Technology Cooperation Forum held in Brussels.

"There were three teams in the finals: from England, Germany and Poland" - reported the Ministry of Science and Higher Education on its website.

The team from the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery PAS, headed by Prof. Wiesław Ostachowicz was composed of three young scientists: Maciej Radzieński, Dr. Paweł Kudela and Dr. Magdalena Mieloszyk. Polish scientists received the award for the project "Structural Health Monitoring of Infrastructural Facilities via 3D Laser Scannig Vibrometer".
