135 innovative projects by young scientists from 27 countries are presented at Expo Sciences Europe, which started this week in Gdynia. These international exhibition, organized every two years, is held in Poland for the first time.
Eleven gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal were awarded to Polish scientists and engineers during the 21st Moscow International Salon of Inventions and Innovation Technologies ARCHIMEDES 2018. Nearly 700 inventions from 28 countries were presented at the event.
"Chrząszcz" (Beetle) is an autonomous robot that can avoid obstacles and find its way to the destination. It was constructed by Wrocław University of Science and Technology students. At the end of April the robot will start in international competitions in Silicon Valley in the US.
Signposts that react to traffic intensity or weather can soon become a reality in Poland. Researchers from AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków and Gdansk University of Technology are working on the system of intelligent traffic signs INZNAK that will adjust to the conditions on the road.
