Polish inventions awarded in the United States

Polish inventor won the award for the best European invention, seven gold medals with distinction, four gold medals and five special awards at the Invention & New Product Exposition INPEX, which took place in June in the United States.

The Invention & New Product Exposition INPEX is the largest fair of inventions in the United States, organised for 29 years in Pennsylvania.

More than 550 inventions from 24 countries were presented at this year\'s event. In addition to representatives from the United States, participants included exhibitors from Australia, Canada, China, Croatia, Egypt, Iceland, Italy, Korea, Kuwait, the Bahamas, Mexico, Morocco, New Zealand, Norway, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sweden, Russia, Taiwan, Turkey.

Poland, the expo participant since 2010, presented 11 inventions in the national pavilion organized by EUROBUSINESS-HALLER.

The award for the best European invention, "Best European Award - INPEX 2014" went to Andrzej Sobolewski from the company TORQWAY SP. Z O.O for a vehicle propelled by muscle. The invention also won gold medal with distinction in the fitness category and special awards from the Association of Inventors of Croatia and the Association of Inventors of Iran.

Gold medals with distinction in various categories also went to: Agata Bonenberg of Poznań University of Technology; Elżbieta Skorupska, Michał Rychlik and Wiktoria Śpikowska-Pawelec of Poznań University of Technology and the University of Medical Sciences in Poznań; Piotr Pohl, Bogdan Branowski, Sebastian Głowala, Jaroslaw Gabryelski, Maciej Sydor, Marek Zabłocki from the University of Life Sciences in Poznań; Marcin Kuropatwiński from the company VIOCE LAB Sp. z o.o.; Jagiellonian University Medical College, also the winner of special award from the Association of Inventors of Korea and - together with the Jagiellonian University Medical College - the Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy.

Winners of further gold medals for inventions at INPEX were also: Jagiellonian University; Edward Pagacz, Franciszek Lipinski, Paweł Lewandowicz of the Opencast Mining Institute; Ewa Kicko-Walczak and Grażyna Rymarz from the Institute of Engineering of Polymer Materials and Dyes, who also won special award for their contribution to innovativeness; Witold Słówko from Wrocław University of Technology, whose invention received a special award from the Association of Inventors of Taiwan.
