Thirteen Polish universities in the Best Global Universities ranking

Thirteen Polish universities included in the international ranking of universities - Best Global Universities. Among them, the University of Warsaw took the highest, 319th place. In the first place was the American Harvard University.

The Best Global Universities ranking has been prepared by the American company U.S. News & World Report, which publishes information, reviews, consumer advice, rankings and analyses. One thousand top universities from 65 countries have been included in this year\'s third edition of the ranking.

First place in the ranking went to the American Harvard University. The following four places are also occupied by universities in the United States: Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University, University of California-Berkeley, California Institute of Technology. In the sixth and seventh places are two British universities: the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge. Top ten is completed by the American Princeton University, Columbia University and the University of California-Los Angeles.

13 Polish universities have been included in the ranking. Among them, the highest - 319th - place went to the University of Warsaw. 364th place has been taken by Jagiellonian University. Warsaw University of Technology is in the 593rd place, AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków is 617th. The University of Wroclaw and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań have places in the eighth hundred. In the ranking are also: Wroclaw University of Technology, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, University of Lodz, Medical University of Warsaw, University of Silesia, University of Gdańsk and Medical University of Gdańsk.

The ranking was based on 12 criteria, including the scientific reputation, publications and citations. The ranking is available on the website.
