Ukrainian citizens may submit applications in the praca.gov.pl system for financing the fees charged by universities for the recognition procedure or the procedure for confirming the completion of studies at a specific level, the Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg told PAP.

The Minister of Family and Social Policy said that a significant proportion of adult Ukrainian citizens who came to Poland after the outbreak of war in Ukraine were people with higher education.

She added that the government wanted to help such people to better integrate into the Polish labour market, finding employment in many regulated professions requiring high qualifications and fulfilling specific conditions.

Maląg said: “This applies, among others, to healthcare, education and construction. It will allow them to obtain recognition of the graduation diploma acquired abroad as equivalent to the appropriate Polish diploma and professional title."

Ukrainian citizens can now submit applications in the praca.gov.pl system for financing the fees charged by universities for the recognition procedure or the procedure for confirming the completion of studies at a specific level.

The application form is available in three language versions: Polish, Ukrainian and English. The maximum amount of the fee is PLN 3,205.

Maląg said: “From the very beginning, since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, we have been doing our best to make it easier for our neighbours to navigate the new reality and the Polish labour market. As part of the simplified procedure, over 261,000 people have already found jobs.”

All unemployed and jobseekers, including Polish citizens who have graduated abroad, are eligible to apply for the financing of the fee. Poviat labour offices are responsible for distributing the support.

An application for financing the fee should be submitted to the poviat labour office competent for the place of residence. The application may be submitted electronically using a qualified electronic signature or a signature confirmed by an ePUAP trusted profile, or in a paper version.
