The University of Warsaw has taken first place in the 25th University Ranking Perspektywy 2024. Right behind it was the Jagiellonian University, and the Warsaw University of Technology took 3rd place. Among private universities, the winner was the Koźmiński University in Warsaw.

The list was prepared by the Perspektywy Education Foundation under the supervision of the jury chaired by Professor Michał Kleiber. It includes four rankings: University Ranking, Private University Ranking, Public Vocational Colleges Ranking and Ranking by Subject.

'From the very beginning, i.e. since 2000, the University Ranking Perspektywy has been addressed primarily to university candidates whom we want to help choose a field of study and a university', the Foundation said in a press release.

The University Ranking Perspektywy 2024 includes Polish academic universities (public and private) that have the right to award doctoral degrees in at least one scientific discipline and have at least 200 full-time students. Universities that had at least two years of graduates were taken into account.

The ranking included 31 indicators, grouped into 7 criteria: reputation, employability, research potential, research effectiveness, innovation, teaching, and internationalization.

The best academic institution is the University of Warsaw, followed by the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. The last on the podium is the Warsaw University of Technology, and the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków took fourth place.

The jury also awarded the ADVANCEMENT 2024 Special Award to the university that made the most spectacular jump to the top of the University Ranking. This award went to the Medical University of Białystok, which moved from 20th place in last year's ranking to 12th place in the 2024 edition.

In the ranking of the best private universities, the Kozminski University in Warsaw took first place for the 25th time. In second place is the SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and in third place - the WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza. Right behind the podium, in equal fourth place, are the Academy of Finance and Business Vistula and Lazarski University in Warsaw.

The Private University Ranking includes private universities that are authorized to offer at least second-cycle or long-cycle Master's studies, have at least two years of graduates, took part in a survey (does not apply to non-public academic universities) and have a total student population of at least 200 full-time and part-time students, with the obligatory entry condition being that the university offers full-time studies.

The winner in the group of vocational colleges is the President Stanisław Wojciechowski State University of Applied Science in Kalisz, followed by the Jacob of Paradies University in Gorzów Wielkopolski and the John Paul II University in Biala Podlaska.

The best technical university is the Warsaw University of Technology, followed by the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, and in third place - Gdańsk University of Technology. Wrocław University of Science and Technology took fourth place.

This year, when assessing the best fields of study, the jury took a closer look at 74 fields of study. Among the universities offering the best studies in Poland, the University of Warsaw is in first place, offering 19 such fields, followed by the Jagiellonian University in Kraków (15 fields), and the Warsaw University of Technology in third place (12 fields).
