Award-winning Polish inventions soon to be showcased in Warsaw

Innovative solutions of Polish scientists and students, which received medals and other awards at international fairs and exhibitions of inventions in 2013 will be presented at the 21st Inventions Exchange. The event will be held on 11 and 12 February at Warsaw\'s Copernicus Science Centre.

The exhibition organisers are the Association of Polish Inventors and Innovators and Eurobusiness-Haller. One of the media sponsors patrons of the is Polish Press Agency service Science and Scholarship in Poland.

The event participants include winners of fairs in Paris, Brussels, Nuremberg, Seoul, Taipei, Macau, Prague, Sevastopol, Kuala Lumpur, the United States, Romania, Turkey and Croatia.

Inventions will be presented by representatives of academic research centres, research institutes, industry, as well as private inventors, students, post-graduate students, whose innovative solutions received, medals and other awards at international fairs and exhibitions of inventions in 2013.

On the first day of the event there will be a ceremony of awarding diplomas and statuettes of the Minister of Science and Higher Education to medallists at fairs and exhibitions of inventions. The ceremony will be attended by exhibitors, representatives of the Ministry of Science, Ministry of Economy, Polish Patent Office and other institutions promoting and supporting the development of inventions in Poland. The inauguration of the Exchange will be held in the Copernicus Science Centre auditorium.

The second day of the (February 12) is open to all visitors. Anyone interested can visit the Exchange and see innovative technological solutions presented by the participants in the form of prototypes, models, photographs, multimedia presentations, flyers, boards, brochures. Admission is free.

The main purpose of the exhibition is to promote the achievements and international success of science centres, innovative businesses and individual inventors outside the scientific community in order to increase the interest of businesses in Polish scientific and technical solutions and innovative products, as well as honouring the invention fair medallists for their international success. Solutions presented at the Exchange will include products and technologies at the advanced research and implementation stage, as well as those ready for implementation and commercialisation.

During last year\'s Exchange, exhibitors presents more than 170 projects, mainly in the field of ecology, chemistry, biology, electronics, medical technology, engineering, construction and information technology. This year, the organisers anticipate a similar number of presented solutions.
