Gdańsk/ Global Law Deans` Forum at the University of Gdańsk

Global Law Deans` Forum and the Annual Meeting of the International Association of Law Schools will be held in Poland for the first time - at the University of Gdańsk, according to the University of Gdańsk press services.

According to the university representatives, on 18 - 22 September 2019, the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk will host deans and representatives of law faculties from over one hundred best universities in the world. The Annual Meeting of the International Association of Law Schools and the Global Law Deans` Forum will be held in Poland for the first time.

As explained in the press release, the International Association of Law Schools (IALS) is one of the largest and most prestigious academic legal organizations. It brings together institutions of science and higher education, educating in the field of legal sciences. Its members are over 160 of the best law schools in the world, including the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk.

The university announced that the Global Law Deans` Forum will take place on 18 - 20 September. During the event, the deans of law faculties will discuss strategic visions and standards for global legal education. Issues related to the role of universities and the judiciary branch in shaping legal attitudes will also be discussed.

On 20 - 22 September this year, guests will attend the Annual Meeting of the International Association of Law Schools (2019 Annual Meeting). They will discuss the problems of methodology of teaching law, selected issues related to specific areas of law, as well as issues of the interaction of law with business, culture and new technologies.
